CCC FEEDBACK

Dear Betty, 4/06/2007

....when we were growing up, Mum and Dad always mentioned that we were related to the Frost Family from Goondiwindi....and also the Banks Family...living around Blackall....It was also nice to go down memory lane again and see some of the old photographs....

It was wonderful to hear how your son stepped in with encouragement for you at a very low ebb in your life. His contribution with the Family Crest is much appreciated....

Take care and God Bless...Logan City, Queensland, Australia

Hi Betty - 4/02/2007

We have received the Choyce Conpendium Book and did not realize just how much work you and Joe had to do to bring it all together....Have a Happy Easter.

What about coming out to Australia and seeing us all? We would love to meet you in person. Give it some thought and let us know what you decide.

We would come to Brisbane to see you and bring you out to Blackall and then take you back to Brisbane when you were ready to go.

Love ....BLACKALL, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

Hi Betty - 3/28/2007

Pardon me for being slow in writing you about the book. I have had a chance to look through it and think that it is really a great labor of love on your part. Put another way, it is truly a weighty tome, both physically and in its content. You bore down where you had to and laid off in the delicate areas. The detail you went into was scholarly, but not stuffy.

With my best, I am ....Jasper, Georgia

Dear Betty - 3/21/2007

.... the long awaited C/C C book finally arrived on Thursday 15th March - some 12 weeks after it was despatched....I must say I was absolutely amazed by the content and detail of this magnificent volume - well done to yourself, Joe and everyone else involved in it's production.

My initial impression of looking at it was tinged with a little sadness as I was absolutely amazed at all the references to Sibson and the surrounding area along with St Botulph's Church. I spent a lot of time in that small village as a child staying with my Grandma and Uncle Jim (Kate Landen and James Berridge) during the school summer holidays each year ....

Once again Betty congratulations on the production of this magnificent book.

Dear Betty - 3/21/2007

....As I mentioned to you on Thursday past [telephone], the 7 copies of the CCC finally arrived at Durbanville. I would like to congratulate you for your determination in seeing that the draft of the CCC was finally published, and the fact that it is such a wonderful record of the Choice/Choyce families. You must be very proud.

Thank you again for all your hard work over the years.

Dear Betty - 3/13/2007

I received five books in a postal bag on the 22 Feb 07 and then the other five in a postal bag on the 27 Feb 07. When at first only the five arrived, I had misgivings about the other five thinking - lost in post - but when they turned up I was certainly glad.

I have been through the Australian side in a quick perusal (but thorough).... Your loving Cousin,.....Matraville, Sydney, Australia

Dear Betty - 3/12/2007

Wow! The Compendium certainly is large and heavy. Seeing it makes me realize just how much time and effort was spent in searching, sorting, compiling all the information so that it made sense. It must have been a big relief when the button was finally pressed for it all to go to print.

I am really happy with the result, even though I have not had a lot of time to bury my nose in it, but I hope to do so very soon now....Will write again as soon as I do more reading.

Take care.........Brighton, QLD, Australia

My Dearest Betty - 3/01/2007

Many thanks for your two books that arrived this afternoon. I could not get the box opened quickly enough to start reading same. It is so exciting.

An especially warm greeting to you, my Dear Betty for your so many years of WORK. I know you had your Dear Joe and Patrick to help you, but the bulk of the work has been left to you....   Love and best wishes to you my Dear Betty. Thank you for many years of hard work....

Dear Cousin Betty - 3/01/2007

Thank you so much for sending my book. I'm enjoying it so much. It is heavy. I have to get somebody to put it on the table for me. I'm in a wheelchair and sit at the kitchen table a lot.

This will keep me busy in these winter months that we have left. I can't believe the hours that you spent and the research that you did. Thank you and your late husband and son that the book is done. If you didn't do it, I don't know of anytbody that could have.

Good health to you. Love......Barto, PA

Dear Cousin Betty - 3/01/2007

Thanks for the Choyce book. I didn't get to look at it too closely yet, but what I did see was good!    Here is a check for $100.00 which also takes in the shipping charge which I don't think you should pay, and it was a rush order.    Thanks again and take care down there in the heat.

Love...from Lansdale, PA

Hi Betty - 2/28/2007

What a lovely surprise when I got to the Post Office this morning the books were there.  You have done a more than exceptional job with this labour of love (it had to be a labour of love).  It is just so exciting to see it.  You must be very proud of yourself for doing this great job for the Choice/Choyce family.  Thank you so much, even though others helped with the information it was your efforts that put it all together.

Luv, from.....Bathurst, NSW, Australia

Dear Betty - 2/24/2007

Just received "the book". Many, many thanks to you and all your helpers....Hope it doesn't take me 30 years to read it. As I said, when David and I have read it, I will donate it to the LFHS Library so that it may go on forever.... Quote David, "Stupendous".

Hi Betty - 2/22/2007

The book arrived today.  Les thinks he had better start reading it now so he will get through it before his eye sight fades with old age. I've told him he can't read it in bed as he will end up with a broken nose when he falls asleep. It really looks lovely

Hi Cousin - 2/14/2007

The C/C C is wonderful. I haven't been to bed before 2 a.m. the last two nights. Read about Mary Ann (Small of Pleck) and Charles "Edward" Choyce of West Bromwich and Bingara.

They can only be the brother/sister-in-law of John Choice my ancestor, and so be of the line of Burton Hastings, Staffordshire, England.    Pleck is a district of Walsall, the name does not occur anywhere else...moreover, guess who lived at Pleck?   Me....

Hi Betty - 2/13/2007

We were quite surprised by the size of the book, never expected such a "tome". It is beautifully done and the paper is of a very high quality. The cover is very fine and will hold up for many generations to come. You did one fine job!!!... At any rate, I wanted to tell you what a fine job you did and we thank you for all your years of faithful hard work on this tremendous project.

Dear Betty - 2/13/2007

My youngest son was here tonight (he lives in Hershey) and this is the first one of my kids who saw your book.  His first words were "totally awesome work of love"!!  He was completely captured by the very size of it.  Oddly enough his son Mike just had to do some geneology work for school and used your website to glean some info which was a big help to him.  He is 13 1/2 and is curious about his ancestors and was tickled to find what he needed....

Anyhow, good to hear from you and all the Choyce/Choice clan all over the world owe you a big big huge HUG AND A KISS. Love Langhorne, PA

Betty - 2/09/2007

I am enjoying your book, only up to page 300 plus charts, but appreciate all the correspondence you had with people all around the world all your life.

Jennifer & Bonnie Choice of Australia say it perfectly on page 285.

My grandson Ryan of Palmyra was talking about the book the other night, you did so much hard work tracing families as far back as you could. He hopes that someone in the next couple of generations could pick it up from where you left off.

Hi Betty - 1/26/2007

I received my books and I thank you very much for all your diligent and hard work.  There is a wealth of information there and I love the pictures.  I haven't had a chance to go through the whole book, but I will.  I don't know how you ever got all that information together!  Thanks for all your work and perseverance.  I will pass on the books to my grandchildren and I hope they pass the books on to their children and so on....

Dear Betty - 1/17/2007

We received the Compendium right after Christmas. Wow! I can't believe the weight of it. Don't know how you got it all together. Wonderful!  Stupendous! Great accomplishment.    Please tell your son he did a great job on the Family Crest. Thanks so-o-o much. Sorry I was so late. We are checking it out page by page. Might take a couple of years.

Dear Betty - 1/16/2007

I can't believe how much work that you have put into compiling all of this information and then having it printed. Neither of these are easy tasks, but we truly appreciate all that you have done for the family.    I'm sure there will be plenty of discussions around the C/C C at the next family reunion in June.

Dear Cousin Betty - 1/10/2007

I opened the package, removed the Compendium and started to look through the results
of your years of hard work.  I was stunned at the complexity and the detail.  You have
done an unbelievably grand job in producing the Compendium.  Congratulations on a
wonderful job.

My wife, Jan, was equally amazed at the extent of the work and sends her congratulations
also.

Dear Betty - 1/09/2007

Warren & I received the book, and what a book, Warren said to tell you he will need to be snowed in for at least three snowy weeks to read it.   I need him to lift it on a flat surface for
me so I don't get my hernia back by lifting it myself (laugh laugh).  So far we have started to read it here and there.

We can tell you did a lot of research and work getting thru it. I know we will enjoy it. Just too bad Richard did not live to see it, he would have loved it.

Hi Betty - 1/08/2007

I received my CCC today.  I love it!  I am so enjoying perusing my ancestry!  My only regret is that our paths did not cross earlier so that I could have added to your work.  I would have loved to seen the descendency of Sarah Elizabeth Harrison and Harry Attwood in your book.  I am in possession of much of that information.

Nevertheless, I am enjoying it immensely and I want to thank you for all the years of your diligent and time-consuming labor.  I'm sure it was a labor of love. Stay in touch!  Wishing you a happy and blessed new year!

Dear Betty - 1/08/2007

Thank you for all the work and research you poured into the Choice Compendium! WOW! The photos, the history, all the details you included are wonderful. Thank you for your perservance.

The tribute to your husband was also very nice. I'm sure you wish he could have seen and enjoyed the finished product. He would be so pleased. (Just think - He's probably meeting and talking with those he'd read about. What fun.)

The crest your son designed is also wonderful. I love the meaning of each symbol. How very special.    Thank you for all you did to provide a comprehensive and accurate family history.
It's a treasure. Thank you!

Betty, Congratulations - 1/06/2007

I received your Christmas card and my copy of the "Choyce Compendium" on Wednesday. It looks like you were very busy during the Christmas holiday mailing out the compendium copies. The book is fantastic. I am so glad that you were successful in getting it published.

Your many years of work and persistence have produced a product that will remain in many Choyce families for many generations to come. I am sure that husband Joe and your father are looking down on you with a big smile of great pride and pleasure. You should be very proud of what you have accomplished.

Hi Aunt Betty - 1/02/2007

I received the book the other day and it was well worth the wait. What an accomplishment. I can see how it was 20 years in the making. Excellent job. I started reading it and find it hard to put down. I can't image the extent of research and writing involved to create such a resource. Congratulations. I'm sure it will be enjoyed for generations to come.

Well, take care and thanks again for the beautiful book. Happy New Year.
