Anstey Ruth Baker, daughter of Hazel Jane (Choyce) and John Arthur Baker, married Gary Scott Spraggon, 14 Sep 1985. Hazel wrote, in December of 1987, "Gary already had a son, James Scott, whom Anstey is adopting. They now have a second son, Joseph John Grey, born May 22nd, 1987.

When I asked Hazel where she got the name Anstey from, thinking it was a family name, she said she got it from the town of Anstey.

Family of EMILY MAUDE (CHOYCE) GRANT WINSOR Emily Maude Choyce, daughter of Margaret (Fisher) and Edward Choyce, was born 17 Sep 1903. The only information I could gather concerning Emily, I received from her nephew, Reginald Choyce of Mackay who said that his father, William James Choyce, was his informant.

Emily Maude Choyce married Oswald Grant who died. Some years later Emily Maude (Choyce) Grant married Lysle Winsor. Emily had no children with either husband. The photograph of her in the Family Chapter shows her with one of her husbands, but Reggie said he did not know whether it was Oswald or Lysle.

Dora Agnes Choyce, daughter of Margaret (Fisher) and Edward Choyce, was born 18 Jan 1895, at Longreach. Dora Agnes married Herbert Andrew French at Maryborough, Queensland, and had two children, Herbert James French, and Alma Irene French. Alma was born 22 Oct 1916, at Blackall. Herbert James French's birth date is not known. His father, Herbert Andrew French, died 24 Dec 1939, at Maryborough, according to his death certificate. Incidentally, although Dora always spelled her name, Dora, the name on her birth certificate is spelled Dorah.

Dora remarried. Her second husband, a widower, was Theophil Otto Maier. Dora Agnes (Choyce) French and Theophil Otto Maier married 27 Aug 1943, at Gympie, Queensland.

Jane Ann Choyce, daughter of Margaret (Fisher) and Edward Choyce, married William Francis Cassidy, 17 Jan 1918, at Brisbane. William Francis Cassidy, son of Elizabeth (Costello) and William Cassidy, was born in 1897. Jane Ann (Choyce) and William Francis Cassidy had two children: William Ernest Cassidy, born about 1920; and Daphne Kathleen Cassidy, born 28 Jul 1927, at Brisbane. William Francis Cassidy died 1 Dec 1971, at Brisbane. Daphne Kathleen Cassidy married Gerard Joseph Wallace, 8 Oct 1949, at Brisbane. Gerard Joseph Wallace, son of Ethel Mary (Moore) and Joseph Wallace, was born 2 Dec 1925. I know of no children for this couple.

Family of DOROTHY MUSGRAVE (MARTIN) and SYDNEY ARTHUR WILLIAM CHOYCE (All DCS)

Sydney Arthur William Choyce, son of Margaret (Fisher) and Edward Choyce, was born 27 Jun 1910. Sydney married Doris Musgrave Martin. Doris, born 28 Jan 1909, at Lady Musgrave Hospital in Maryborough, Queensland, was the daughter of Emily Constance Martin. Doris and Sydney had seven children: Margaret Ann, born in 1943; Gloria Jean born in 1945; Ivy Rosemary, born in 1946; Edward William, born in 1947; and Helen Merle Choyce, born in 1949; Andrew Charles, born in 1952; and Sydney Arthur Choyce, born in 1953. Sydney Arthur William Choyce, (the father) died 25 Sep 1954, at Brisbane.

Margaret Ann Choyce, daughter of Doris Musgrave (Martin) and Sydney Arthur William Choyce, was born 9 Jan 1943. Margaret Ann Choyce married James Edward Nicola, 4 Aug 1964. James was born 24 Feb 1940, in England. Margaret Ann (Choyce) and James Edward Nicola had five children: Ann Margaret, born in 1964; John Charles, born 20 Apr 1965, at Mater, Brisbane; James Edward, born 1 May 1966, at Redcliffe; Kerri-Ann, born 19 Feb 1971; and Michael Joseph Nicola, born 27 Jun 1972, at Redcliffe.

Ann Margaret Nicola married Kevin Bertwistle, 14 Aug 1982. They had a daughter, Melissa Ann Bertwistle, born 4 Oct 1983, at R.B.H., Brisbane. Ann and Kevin divorced in February of 1987.
