RITA (WALSH) AND JOSEPH FRANCIS GIRARDINI, CONTRACTOR, OF DANBURY, BRIDGEPORT, AND ELLINGTON

Rita Walsh, daughter of Anna (O'Connor) and Thomas J. Walsh, was born 5 Mar 1915, at Danbury. Rita Walsh married Joseph "Joe" Francis Girardini, 23 Nov 1944, at Bridgeport, Connecticut. Joe was the son of Clara (Rocen) and Louis Girardini. Joe was a contractor.

Rita (Walsh) and Joseph Francis Girardini had two children: Joseph Vincent Girardini, born 1946; and Ann Marie Girardini, born 1949. Joe Girardini died 16 Dec 1979, at Ellington where Rita (Walsh) Girardini still makes her home.

Joseph Vincent Girardini, son of Rita (Walsh) and Joseph Francis Girardini, was born 2 Oct 1946, at Rockville, Connecticut. He married Marjorie Auglier, 15 Jun 1968, at Winchester, Massachusetts. Marjorie is the daughter of Lydia and George Auglier. Marjorie (Auglier) and Joseph Vincent Girardini had two children; David Joseph Girardini, born 30 Mar 1969, at Hartford, Connecticut; and Jennifer Ann Girardini, born 19 Apr 1972, at Rockville, Connecticut.

Ann Marie Girardini, daughter of Rita (Walsh) and Joseph Francis Girardini, was born 7 Jul 1949, at Rockville, Connecticut. Ann Marie married Victor Cohun on 4 Oct 1969 at Ellington, Connecticut. Victor is the son of Bettina (Fourtier) and Victor Cohun.

Ann Marie (Girardini) and Victor Cohun had two children: Michelle Cohun, born 20 Nov 1970, and Tammy Cohun, born 23 Sep 1973. Both girls were born at Manchester, Connecticut.

CATHERINE "KATE" (O'CONNOR) AND WALTER ERLINGHEUSER, OF DANBURY AND BRIDGEPORT

Catherine O'Connor, daughter of Anna (Taaffe) and John O'Connor, was born 10 Feb 1886, at Danbury. She was called "Kate" by her family and friends. Catherine O'Connor married Walter Erlingheuser at a time and place not known, but probably at Danbury. Walter, son of Emma (Peters) and Agustav Erlingheuser, was born in May of 1886, at Soldin, Germany.

Kate (O'Connor) and Walter Erlingheuser had four children, all born at Bridgeport: Jennie V. Erlingheuser, born 1917, died as an infant and is buried in St. Peter's Cemetery, Danbury; Walter Erlingheuser, born 16 May 1919, died in June of 1985; Veronica "Vera" Erlingheuser, born 23 Jun 1920; and Francis "Frank" Erlingheuser, born in 1924. Neither Walter nor Vera married.

Catherine "Kate" (O'Connor) Erlingheuser died 28 Sep 1947, at Bridgeport. Walter Erlingheuser, her husband, died about 28 Jan 1957, at Bridgeport.

Francis "Frank" Erlingheuser married Rose Barberio, daughter of Angela and Anthony Barberio. They had six children: Frank Joseph; Mark; Mary Catherine; David; Ann; and John Erlingheuser. These children were all born at Bridgeport, except for John who was born at Ansonia, Connecticut.

Frank Joseph Erlingheuser married Carol Robinson and had two children, Darlene Erlingheuser, born 21 Jul 1978; and Suzanne Erlingheuser, born 14 Feb 1980.

The statistics for this Erlingheuser family were prepared for me by my cousin, Vera Erlingheuser, who still lives at Bridgeport.

NORA O'CONNOR and WILLIAM E. LYMAN, married 25 Oct 1887, Bethel. Both 24 years old, all of their parents were born in Ireland. William was a hatter living in Bethel. First marriage for each. (Were Ellen and Nora a sister of Dominick, Michael, and John?)
